There’s just one main street in Springdale town
You drive to St. George for groceries, and everyone knows you’ve been down
We all stop and talk to Mayor VanderWerff when he mows his front lawn
     In my little town

We go down to the schoolhouse on the Fourth of July
Where the Lion’s Club makes the pancakes while the flag flies high
We get sprayed by the fire truck as the parade rolls by
     In my little town
     My little town (x2)

So far from this I have gone
A much larger place the world’s become
These small things I have, these small things I know
     My little town (x3)

Oh, I sang with the Saints on a Sunday noon
And I hung out on the back porch of the Mexican saloon
Where hummingbirds dance in the light of the moon
     In my little town
     My little town (x6)
